NEW MOVIES!  DECEMBER 12 - DECEMBER 18, 2017

KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE (USA, R) - This is another KINGSMAN movie. I know it’s too soon but it’s here anyway. This one’s got a brand spankin’ new bad guy in it. Now the Wizard and Egg dude have to save the world from him.
DIRECTED BY: Matthew Vaughn
STARRING: Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Edward Holcroft, Hanna Alström, Sophie Cookson, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, Elton John, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges
METASCORE: 44, based on 43 Critics
HOME AGAIN (USA, PG-13) - Reese’s Pieces Witherspoon plays a single mamma living in LA. Her life goes through some major changes when she randomly decides to let three strange men live with her. Weird choice, candy lady.
DIRECTED BY: Hallie Meyers-Shyer
STARRING: Reese Witherspoon, Nat Wolff, Jon Rudnitsky, Pico Alexander, Lake Bell, Michael Sheen, Candice Bergen
METASCORE: 41, based on 29 Critics
DETROIT (USA, R) - The police raid Detroit in the 1960s. The people in the streets lose their cookies over this and decide to revolt. It’s a big deal.
DIRECTED BY: Kathryn Bigelow
STARRING: John Boyega, Will Poulter, Algee Smith, Jason Mitchell, John Krasinski, Anthony Mackie
METASCORE: 78, based on 48 Critics
^THE TRIP TO SPAIN (UK, Not Rated) - Another trip? Steve Coogan and some knee comedian travel to Spain to eat some good food. There’s food where they are from but they want some foreign grub.
DIRECTED BY: Michael Winterbottom
STARRING: Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon
METASCORE: 66, based on 31 Critics
VICEROY'S HOUSE (UK, Not Rated) - This one’s about the last viceroy of India. I’m not totally sure what that is. I should ask my mother since she lived there but then I’d have to call her and I think I already forgot to text her back this week.
DIRECTED BY: Gurinder Chadha
STARRING: Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, Michael Gambon
METASCORE: 53, based on 16 Critics
$THE UNKNOWN GIRL (Belgium, Not Rated) - A doctor feels bad when a patient she neglected to help turns up dead. The police can’t figure out who she was, which is always a bummer. Then the doctor lady vows to figure out who the mystery dead girl was to clear her conscience.
DIRECTED BY: Luc Dardenne / Jean-Pierre Dardenne
STARRING: Adčle Haenel, Olivier Bonnaud, Jérémie Renier, Louka Minnella
METASCORE: 65, based on 21 Critics
*SUPER DARK TIMES (USA, Not Rated) - Josh and Zach have been BFFs forever. Then an accident happens and they cover it up. It basically ruins their friendship.
DIRECTED BY: Kevin Phillips
STARRING: Owen Campbell, Charlie Tahan
METASCORE: 74, based on 16 Critics
OF HORSES AND MEN (Iceland, Not Rated) - I think it’s about loving horses, but not in a gross, only-acceptable-in-some-states kinda way - but then again maybe it is. I don’t really know. I didn’t watch it.
DIRECTED BY: Benedikt Erlingsson
STARRING: Helgi Björnsson, Charlotte Břving, Sigríđur María Egilsdóttir
METASCORE: 74, based on 4 Critics
