EMERALD COWBOY (dir: Andrew Molina, R) – This
docu-drama follows a Japanese businessman who, with a little bit of foresight and a lot of nerve, moved to Colombia and fought his way to the top of the emerald trade. |

THE EXTERMINATING ANGELS (dir: Jean-Claude
Brisseau, Not Rated) – After being arrested for sexually harassing and abusing women auditioning for his last film SECRET THINGS, French
perv/director Jean-Claude Brisseau decided to make this movie about a misunderstood film director accused of sexually harassing and abusing actresses auditioning for his movie. Someone’s feewing weewy sawy for himself. |
FACTORY GIRL (dir: George
Hickenlooper, Unrated) – Sienna Miller proves she’s an actress with this
bio-pic of doomed Andy Warhol pal Edie Sedgwick. The bad news is that the rest of the movie is not nearly as good as her performance. |
HANA & ALICE (dir: Shunji Iwai, Not Rated) – The director of ALL ABOUT LILY CHOU-CHOU returns with another insightful look into the lives of Japanese adolescents. In this, teenage best friends both fall for the same cute boy and use every scheme they can think of to trick him into being their boyfriend, but inevitably their friendship begins to suffer. |

THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 (dir: Martin
Weisz, Unrated) – Gorehounds will be pleased to learn that this sequel contains 17% more blood and guts than the previous installment. |
LOVE (dir: Vladan
Nikolic, Not Rated) – Have they ever made a movie about a criminal who doesn’t have to pull one last ill-fated job before he can retire? In this, a Yugoslavian hitman must pull off one last job before going straight but, alas, things go horribly awry. Duh. |
PERFECT CREATURE (dir: Glenn
Standring, R) – Some ancient deadly vampire is pretty set in his plan to suck the blood of B-list British stars like Dougray Scott and Saffron Burrows. |

PREMONITION (dir: Mennan
Yapo, PG-13) – Sandra Bullock’s latest was savaged by critics for being even more incomprehensible than THE LAKE HOUSE, and that movie was about a magic mailbox that controlled time! |
